Abstract

The arrival of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is very important in Islamic history because with the arrival of the Prophet ﷺ, the world received a new light and humanity got such guidance that completely changed the social, moral, economic and political conditions of human beings.

When did Rasulullah ﷺ arrive in this world? Scholars and historians differ in this regard. Although there is a difference of opinion regarding the year of birth, but the prevailing opinion is that the Messenger of Allah ﷺwas born in the Year of the Elephant. Prophetic biographers also differ in the date of birth, but most scholars say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was born on the twelfth of Rabi al-Awwal. Similarly, there is a difference of opinion on the time and place of birth. The Companions, May Allah bless them and grant them peace, never asked Rasulullah ﷺ about his date of birth, nor did He himself tell his date of birth, because there was no worship associated with the birth of him.
