Contributions of Arabic Tafasir in the Heritage of Scholars of India and Pakistan: A Literary Reading

Abstract

Tafsir is one of the most important Islamic and Arabic sciences, and Islamic scholars have paid attention to study the Quran and its sciences deeply.so they have written many books, individually and collectively, in clarification of  rulings  in the various fields of eloquence.

Thus, the science of Tafsir has transformed and progressed over the centuries through the contribution of scholars in the different countries of islamic world. As for the scholars of the sub subcontinent, they were not far  behind in this great intellectual endeavor either. Since the arrival of Islam in the  subcontinent, they have realised the value of the Arabic language for knowledge and understanding the Noble Quran and contemplating it to derive and infer rulings. It contains good expression, eloquence of meaning, and other aspects of knowledge, secrets, and rulings. Thousands of scholars of the  subcontinent have played the role significantly in this domain. They made a substantial role  from the religious obligation to serving the religion and Tafsir. Scholars have spent their whole  lives in the Quranic interpretation services, reviving the scientific heritage, and participating in  the Islamic library. As for the Quranic interpretations in various languages, solid works combine deep and precise understanding of the Quranic text and the ability to link  it with reality. We cannot overlook their noble services in this regard.
