Abstract

The definition of Riba (interest) in Shariah terms is: "To make a conditional increase or profit on a loan, or to receive an excess to either party in the exchange of a thing by measure (sold by measure) or by weight (sold by weight) that is free of consideration and Be conditional in the contract."

Undoubtedly, usury is absolutely forbidden in Islam, because it is a curse that not only leads to moral evils such as economic exploitation, free eating, greed, selfishness,  selfishness, but also It is also a source of financial and economic disasters, which is why usury is prohibited in the Qur'an: ( "O you who believe, do not take usury (i.e. do not take from the original) many parts (by taking) more than (by doing) and fear Allah, may you be successful." )Surat Al-Imran, Number 130, Translation: Bayan Al-Qur’an )

Also, the holy Shari'ah has not only declared it absolutely forbidden, but has declared it as a war with Allah and His Messenger and has also mentioned various promises, such as in the Holy Qur'an:

"And those who take usury will not stand up (from the graves on the Day of Judgment), but as a person stands up whom Satan has made angry and has embraced (i.e. surprised and bewildered), this punishment will be because those people said Beyah is also like usury, but Allah has permitted Beyah and prohibited usury ) has been done, it remains his and the (inner) matter remains his reference to God, and whoever returns again, these people will go to hell and they will remain therein forever.(Surat al-Baqarah, number of verses: 275, translation: Bayan al-Qur'an)

Although usury appears to increase wealth, it actually causes loss of wealth, unhappiness, and sudden calamities, as stated in the Qur'an: "Allah abolishes usury and increases charity, and Allah does not like a disbeliever (and) a sinner."(Surah Al-Baqarah, Number 276, Translation: Bayan Al-Qur’an)

It should be noted that in today's society, various types of financing of usury are common under different names. A person who is not familiar with the Shari'a rules will suffer from them at one level or another. It is in the Hadith Sharif: It was narrated from Abu Huraira (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: A time will surely come upon the people, when there will be no one left who does not eat usury, and whoever does not eat usury will also be charged with usury. ("Sunan Ibn Majah, Kitab al-Tajarah, Chapter al-Taghleez fi al-Raba, Hadith Number: 2278, Volume: 2, p.)

This article explains the probation of usury in the light of Bahisht e Zaiwar from different angles.
