Abstract

Derivation in the Arabic language is a wide section that accommodates many studies of morphological, grammatical, and semantic. The present participle is one chapter from this section. It was dealt with by more morphologists and grammarians than of other derivatives in percentage.

This study aimed to find out the present participle in the poetry of Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak, from two aspects. The present participle in the poetry of Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak is derived excessively from the three abstract roots (intransitive and transitive), although it is derived from transitive more than intransitive and its indication of the situation and the reception is more than proceeding in the poetry of Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak
