Abstract

The Tafseer Al Manar is a modern interpretation of Quran, and it is famous in this era because it includes reasoning, reform, and guidance of Muslim to Social affairs. This Tafseer was written by three Scholars: Sheikh Muhammad Abdo, a student of Jamal Al-Din Al-Afghani, and Muhammad Rashid Rada and Muhammad Bahjah Al-Bitar. And the interpretation is attributed to Muhammad Rashid Rida, although his teacher Muhammad Abdo started this interpretation, but it was an oral lesson only, and Rashid Rida used to arrange it scholarly and publish it after commenting on it in his magazine “Al-Manar”. However, this Tafsser was not completed, but it is the interpretation of the Qur’an to Surat Yusuf. The commentators surrounded many aspects of interpretation, they mentioned jurisprudential rulings, political issues, social matters, and negative reasoning, as well as rhetorical maters and grammatical and linguistic attitudes of some words and structures, and he called them verbal research. I tried to analyze these verbal and linguistic maters in my article.
