1. Peer Review Policy

To ensure academic excellence, all manuscripts submitted to Al-Durar Research Journal undergo a rigorous, thorough, and confidential review process.

  • Review Mechanism: The journal follows a Double-Blind Peer Review system, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept strictly confidential to ensure an unbiased and objective evaluation.

  • Reviewer Competency: Manuscripts are reviewed by independent and competent scholars who possess profound expertise in Arabic and Islamic Studies. These experts provide detailed recommendations regarding the originality, methodology, and scholarly contribution of the work.

2. Selection of Reviewers

  • Expert Matching: Reviewers (both national and international) are carefully selected based on their specific research area and academic track record.

  • Neutrality & Diversity: The selection process is designed to prevent any conflict of interest. All submissions are reviewed objectively, without regard to the author’s race, gender, religious beliefs, ethnicity, citizenship, political leanings, or academic reputation.

3. Ethical Policy

Approval for publication in Al-Durar is strictly subject to the following ethical conditions:

  1. Content Integrity: Articles must not contain or promote hate speech, extremism, sectarianism, or anti-state views.

  2. Author Consent: All co-authors must agree on the final content and the formal submission of the manuscript to the journal.

  3. Originality: The manuscript, in part or in full, must not have been published previously in any language.

  4. Exclusivity: Articles submitted to Al-Durar must not be under consideration by any other journal during the entire review process.

  5. Permissions: If the manuscript includes previously published figures, tables, or extensive text blocks, the author is solely responsible for obtaining written permission from the original copyright owners.

  6. Attribution: All copyrighted materials and intellectual contributions from others must be appropriately acknowledged and cited within the draft.

4. Privacy & Confidentiality Policy

  • Confidentiality of Material: All manuscripts are treated as privileged and confidential documents. The Editor and Editorial Staff will not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author and reviewers.

  • Non-Misuse of Data: Information, ideas, or data obtained through the peer-review process are kept confidential and shall not be used for personal advantage.

  • Protection of Intellectual Property: Before publication, neither the reviewers nor the editors are permitted to utilize the research data or subjects for their own research purposes without the express written consent of the author.
