Concept of poetry & its elements according to Al-Jawahiri

الملخص

The concept of poetry has remained a widely discussed topic by poets and critics of all ages according to their own perceptions. The history of poetry is as old as that of mankind. With the passage of time, poets continued experiments to develop new forms and styles. One of the widely adopted styles world over is liber. This study is about an Iraqi poet Mohammed Mahdi Al-Jawahiri of modern era. He continued to work on classical poetry in a period (as viewed in the light of literature) when his contemporary poets were busy with liber poetry.Al-Jawahiri continued with rhyme and rows to keep classical poetry not only live but also dynamic. Study also contains detailed review of Concept of poetry and its elements according to Al-Jawahiri.
