The Arabic language is an ancient Semitic language. It developed with the passage of time, especially when Allah selected it for his last massage and reveled the Holy Qur’ān in it. It is a Language of culture and literature; therefore it has a history of its literature. The Arabic literature has been divided into two basic categories i.e. Prose and Poetry, but the basic thing of these two is prose which is considered an original method of expression. Therefore the scholars turned toward it and wrote literary books in the field of prose. After Arabic language spread throughout the world and reached the Indian subcontinent, the scholars of these region showed interest in it and welcomed Arabic literature. They worked on both categories of literature, but more of them selected prose as a field for their works. The scholars of this origin, especially the scholars of Pakistan, choose Arabic prose as the subject of their writing, and wrote about classical and modern types of Arabic prose. E.g. Novels, Articles, Stories and Biography etc. This research paper highlights the field work of those scholars of Pakistan who worked on Arabic prose during 1950 to 2000. The study presents a short biography of these scholars and their work in the field of Arabic prose, along with some examples of their work in prose.
