Abstract:
The poetry of every literature represents its language. Language in the modern era needs ancient poetry to know the meaning of unfamiliar words. It has a great impact on language development and protraction; likewise, Pre -Islamic Arabic poetry represents the Arabic language. Therefore writers have cited it in their books and linguistics mentioned it in their dictionaries as language source. The reality is that pre-Islamic poetry is a source of Arabic vocabulary. Islamic Scholars cited it in the interpretation of the holy Qur’an as well. In these Scholars, there is a number of companions and the Successors of those companions. Among those companions the most cited of pre Islamic poetry was Ibn Abbsa in the narration of Nafi bin Azraq from him. The well-Known Mufassir Jalal Uddin al suyuti Mentioned in “Dur al Manthur" a larg number of Hadiths on the authority of Abdulla bin Abbas to interpret of Unfamiliar words of Quran with pre-Islamic poetry. We will best try to review some of these Hadiths in this article.
