الملخص

During the Umayyad period, significant steps were taken to enhance the internal intelligence system. These measures included monitoring the affairs of the caliphate, gathering information about political opponents, keeping track of military troop movements, and formulating appropriate strategies against internal traitors. The Umayyad rulers recruited spies at various locations, providing them with training to gather critical information. During this time, an administrative structure that functioned as a cohesive and effective system across the caliphate was developed. Analysing the features of this intelligence system not only helps in understanding the political strategies of Umayyad governance but also reflects the government's administrative issues and their methods of resolution.
