الملخص

Khan of Qalat Mir Ahmadyar Khan established the Ministry of MA’ARIF (وزارت معارف) in 1935 to implement the Sharia system in Balochistan. It was a department related to religious affairs. This department was entrusted with important responsibilities. Islamic legislation and judiciary, construction and arrangement of Mosques and Semenaries in Balochistan and the elimination of illegal customs were among its main objectives.  Maulana Shams-ul-Haq Afghani was appointed as the first Minister of MA’ARIF. From 1935 to 1955, this ministry continued to implement the Islamic system in the land of Balochistan for twenty years, promoting and developing religion and protecting the rituals of Islam.Maulana Shams-ul-Haq Afghani resigned from the ministry in protest after the establishment one unit and removal of powers. Due to unfavorable conditions, the ministry could no longer function, and it was abolished.
