In this study, I dealt with the subject of historical intertextuality in the poetry of renowned Poetess Nabila Al-Khatib. I was interested in the poetry of Nabila Al-Khatib as it is a rich field of knowledge, thought and art - full of intertextuality in its various forms. My work deals with the modern critical phenomenon that entered the Arab literary criticism recently, after it arose and matured at the hands of Western critics, mostly led by the Bulgarian critic Julia Krista. In this article, I presented a comprehensive definition of the poet Nabila Al-Khatib and followed it with a theoretical study of intertextuality that began from the study of its concept and its emergence in modern Western criticism and its transition to modern Arab criticism by major Arab critics such as Mohamed Bennis, Muhammad Muftah and others. The study also relied on the direct application of the poetry of Nabila Al-Khatib by monitoring, displaying and analyzing intertextuality sites and revealing the aesthetics enriched by the presence of intertextuality in the poem with a comprehensive and integrated clarification of each of those models.
