Loneliness is a state of mind in which one feels himself or herself alone and unwanted. According to Psychology, loneliness is considered to be a stable trait, which means that individuals have different set-points for feeling loneliness. They considered that prolonged loneliness is associated with depression, poor social support and introversion. Studies have shown that loneliness puts people at risk for physical disease and that it may contribute to a shortened life span. Grief is a natural response to lose something important to you. As a result of grief one may feel variety of emotions among them is loneliness. People who are not expressive mostly cut them off from community when they go through grief. The feeling of grief or being lonely because of grief in not something unnatural. It is a normal response of human body and mind in any unlike situation. But if it is prolonged and start to effect the routine life, then it is alarming and dangerous for the mental health of an individual and community as well. The Holy Prophet PBUH has also faced grief, loneliness in the different phases of his life. In this article, we will discuss the different reasons of grief and loneliness in this current scenario of social media influence. We will also discuss and describe different examples from the life of the Holy Prophet PBUH to overcome these emotions, so one can lead a healthy and peaceful life.
