A Study of The Poetry of Abu Fahr Mahmood Muhammad Shakir

الملخص

This research article discusses the poetry of Abu Fahr Mahmood Muhammad Shakir. Aim of the study is to discuss the ways of expression used by Abu Fahr Mahmood Muhammad Shakir, the Egyptian poet. It begins with an introduction to the poet and his poetry. Besides, it also reveals literary aspects of his creative works throughout his life. A slight view has also been thrown at the background of his struggle. Various examples representing his interest in poetry were also included in the study. It may be appropriate to say that his poetic works are commendable. Moreover, the study elaborates the beauty of his poetic collection titled Al-Hijaziat, Qous Al-Udhra, Al-Aasat Allati and Aasfi-Ya-Riaah. Findings in the study show that the use of special style in literary work is to beautify text both in words and meaning easily convey message to readers.
