A Comparative Analysis of the Antichrist Concept in Semitic Religions

According to religious beliefs, there are many opinions about the Dajjal. Some people consider him to be a fictitious character while others consider him to be a symbol or an allegory. Besides, some people interpret him with a system. However, this study presents a comparative analysis of the views of Muslims, Jews, and Christians regarding the Dajjal. The Muslims and the Christians agree that he is the greatest temptation near doomsday that will try to lead people astray from the true religion in various ways. To suppress him, Allah Almighty will send Christ Jesus who will eliminate the Dajjal. However, the view of the Jews is completely different from that of the Muslims and the Christians in this matter. They consider the Dajjal to be their messiah and are eagerly awaiting his coming. They say that the coming messiah will be from the descendants of the messenger David. He will be a great king who, together with the Jews, will destroy all religions.
