Abstract

The unity of the Muslim Ummah has remained one of the most central concerns of Islamic thought, especially in times of intellectual, political, and moral fragmentation. This article examines the message of Muslim unity as articulated through the principles of *wisdom* (ḥikmah) and *good admonition* (mawʿiẓah ḥasanah), drawing upon Qur’anic guidance as a foundational framework. It further explores how this message is artistically and intellectually reflected in Muhammad Iqbal’s poetic collection *Armughan-e-Hijaz*.

The study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach to highlight how Iqbal employs poetic symbolism, spiritual insight, and reformative discourse to revive a sense of collective Muslim identity rooted in faith, ethical consciousness, and intellectual awakening. By emphasizing dialogue, moral persuasion, and spiritual renewal rather than confrontation, Iqbal’s poetry aligns closely with the Qur’anic methodology of wisdom and gentle exhortation. The article concludes that *Armughan-e-Hijaz* presents a powerful literary embodiment of Islamic unity, advocating a revival of the Ummah through inner reform, mutual understanding, and adherence to universal Islamic values. This research contributes to contemporary discussions on Islamic unity by demonstrating the relevance of Iqbal’s thought as a bridge between classical Islamic principles and modern challenges facing the Muslim world.
