Abstract

Political intolerance is a global issue that hinders social harmony, justice, and progress. Islamic teachings offer a comprehensive framework to address this challenge by emphasising tolerance, justice, and equality. This article explores the principles of preventing political intolerance in light of Islamic teachings. Drawing from the Quran, Sunnah, and the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), it highlights the values of tolerance, dialogue, and the ethics of disagreement. The discussion also examines how Islamic principles such as justice, consultation (Shura), and respect for humanity can promote tolerance in political environments. This study aims to present a practical framework that addresses contemporary political challenges through an Islamic lens, fostering social peace and stability
