Abstract

This research article explores the Islamic concept of individual and overall defense in the light of the seerat (life and teachings) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The seerat of the Prophet provides a valuable framework for understanding and implementing defense strategies that encompass both personal well-being and the collective welfare of society. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of relying on Allah and seeking His protection. He encouraged his companions to strengthen their faith, engage in prayers, and seek divine assistance during times of difficulty and conflict. The article emphasizes the balanced approach of self-defense in Islam and focuses on the concept of reliance (Tawakkul) in Islam. It discusses the quranic verses and Prophetic traditions that emphasize the importance of relying on Allah in all aspects of life, including times of difficulty and conflict. This article explores the correlation between defense and reliance in the Prophetic biography.
